In ROOM we develop together, by doing.
Sometimes you just need the room to improve.
We wanted a place where we could try our hand at leading exercises, try new methods and learn off of each other.
So we made it.
Welcome to ROOM.
Firstly, are you a leader or participant?
You’re running things.
Perhaps you’re looking to get some experience facilitating?
or
maybe you’re experienced and want to try some outrageous new methods?
either way - you’ll be signing up as a Leader.
You love being in the room.
perhaps you’re interested in facilitation but don’t have the confidence/knowledge/exercises yet?
or
You’re a theatre artist looking for a super cheap workshop?
either way - you’ll be signing up as a participant.
How does this work?
Every 2 hr session is broken into these sections:
If you’re a Leader:
You’l l sign up to lead one of the sections above - which one you choose is up to you and subject to availability.
in the session, whenever you’re not leading you’ll participate in everyone else’s exercises.
If you’re a Participant:
You’ll sign up a s a participant and get to experience 2 hours of different leaders, approaches and exercises that will help you develop as an artist.
You’ll also gain a whole load of new friends within the industry.
Themes:
Each session will have a theme to help you tailor your delivery/development to the goal of the session.
themes will include: ensemble work, text work, devising , voice work…
